with this company has been the biggest
mistake of my life. They promise the world,
and deliver garbage. My site has been
down for as long as 27 hours at a shot,
with no refund or credit of any kind.
They claim to have toll free phone support,
but every time I call there, it is busy.
That's been 5 months. They aslo had the
website lead you to belive that the shopping
cart was included, but then charged $60
bucks extra for the year. (The site has
changed now)In additon, they sold me a
promo pack, where they are supposed to
keep my site submited to search engines.
I have never seen any evidence that have
done this. I have manually submitted where
I can.

Their server is down frequently, and mail
service unstable--they go down often as
well. They do not provide service with
spam mail, and their technical support
is available, but they do not fix the
problems without several follow-up calls.
I would warn anyone considering them--yes,
they are cheap, but they do not provide
a stable service!

less than two months, the following has
happened - repeated outages (unannounced),
outages for maintenance (announced AFTER
they were completed, status says they
are up when they are not, repeated DNS
problems, all email sent for 9 days never
went out and they knew of issue and didn't
fix it or inform me, limit on outgoing
emails after they told me there wasn't,
but then they increased it per my request,
lost two weeks of reporting data and only
fixed it when I complained... The support
staff, especially Allan, is very responsive.
Unfortunately, this company cannot handle
the business they have. I would recommend
going to ANY OTHER web hosting company.

company is horrible. They use misleading,
and downright false advertising for one
thing. For another thing, if you have
any problems you can be sure no one will
answer the phones and if they do, they
won't have the info you need, will tell
you when someone will call you with the
info you need, and then only give you
that info after YOU call THEM back, two
or three days after when they said someone
would call you with the answer. They have
a large noticeable "seal" on
their homepage inside the ad for their
site stating they have a money back guarantee
which is only good for 15 days from the
time the order is placed. The only way
you can find this out is by trying to
cancel your order, which shoots you to
an obscure page that in two lines explains
that basically no one gets any money back
and they bill you for a year at a time!!!
You will be very lucky if your site is
even up in 15 days. Then you still don't
have the time to have all the problems
you will have pop up, and all the problems
with tech support, before your guarantee
period has already long expired. For at
least 2 weeks I could get no email service,
that's how long tech support took to make
mine work. They also have a claim on their
site that they have been awarded as the
best new web hosting company of 2002 by
a company called 100 Best Inc, which DOES
NOT EVEN EXIST!!! Of all the times I had
to call in on Tech Support far less than
half the time did any live person answer.
When I left messages, no one ever, not
one single time, EVER, returned my call.
When the techies that I did talk to cannot
answer my question, which they never could,
they always had to ask someone else, they
would say they would leave the proper
person a message and get back to me at
a specific time. After two days past when
they said they would return my call, I
would call, and only then would someone
finally answer my question. On 3 different
occasions after having waited on hold
to talk to someone for over 15 minutes,
I was hung up on as soon as someo!

up the line, before I even said hello.
I tried to research the company through
the Better Business Bureau and when you
try to get the report it sends you error
messages so you can't research the company
anyways. No other company has that problem,
I researched some just to make sure that
it wasn't a site wide problem. Only this
company! My brother-in-law knew of the
company in it's former name, Icom, and
he said they were just as unreliable and
dishonest and unprofessional then as they
are now. I'm sooooooo displeased to find
yet another misinformed company singing
the praises of a company they obviously
know nothing about, when if you had any
dealings with them that cost your own
money, you'd be trying to report them
to the Better Business Bureau yourself,
instead of helping them rip off more unsuspecting
victims!!!

the past few years I have been with different
website hosting companies who claim to
have the best service or fastest connections.
A few months ago I have come across Graphite
Six. They are a local company based out
of New York. They have added a personal
touch to each one of there accounts. Every
account is feature packed, and has a quick
and easy setup. Basically the best way
to put it is that they offer the best
value for the money I have seen, and the
best service I have seen in a while. The
plan which I chose was the basic plan.
My bill breaks down to about a little
less then $9.00 a month. Included is 350MB,
15GB transfer, 2 message boards, 2 shopping
carts, all sorts of software. But the
best part is the personal touch I was
talking about. The tech support is fast
and quick, and I never thought this would
happen, but during the holidays they have
sent me a Happy Holiday Card! No other
website host has done that. I just received
the card the other day, and figured I
would write a review about it!
The
cons: Besides all of the great things
I have mentioned, I have had a few minor
problems. When I first signed on with
them my account was setup instantly. The
one problem I had was that the control
panel wasn't working right. They have
corrected the issue and actually gave
me 2 months free service for the minor
set back. In addition, there CEO actually
called me to assure me that everything
would be fine! You really can't beat that!

coming to Halfpricehosting.com, because
they seem to welcome and even anticipate
questions from those of us who don't build
web sites for a living. I have dealt with
their customer services and they answered
all my questions, and have yet to "speak
down" to me in any way, as if I should
know the answers to my questions before
asking them. I have dealt with a couple
other hosts that have treated me this
way. Furthermore, the web/e-mail management
tools, and the way those tools are organized
have made me feel extremely comfortable
in continuing with them. I have to mention
how much I like the e-mail management
portion too. It's easy to navigate and
make changes, and I don't depend on some
tech support guy to do what I ask him
to. I can fix, add / change users and
passwords and control other aspects of
the mail with simple online tools. I love
it. Finally, I got a phone call a couple
weeks after I signed up with them, from
a HUMAN, asking me if there was anything
I needed! What a bizarre concept in business
- a company, calling a client to see if
they could help with anything. I feel
confident that as my web site's needs
grow, that Halfpricehosting.com will be
able to accomodate my growth easily, and
effectively. I like getting "warm-and-fuzzies"
from those I do business with, and they
have provided that, at an exceptional
price.

answered nor replied to phone messages
over the several month period I had dealings
with them. Sales, billing, and technical
support took 5-10 business days to respond
(only by email) to even the simplest issues
or problems.
HostDime's
Windows Basic Plan features did not match
those which they had advertised. In fact,
it is hosted by another company which
is partnered with HostDime.
I canceled before the 30 days but it took
them over a month to acknowledge that
they had received cancelation.
Because many their business practices
border on the fraudulent, I would advise
anyone dealing with them to use a prepaid
debit card to protect themselves from
unwanted charges to any of their charge
or bank debit cards.
Pros: Absolutely none
Cons: Poor customer service and false
advertising

with hostgator for a little over 6 months.
They are by far the best host I've been
with. I've gone from feature price who
started out good, to infinology which
was nothing but problems, to hostgator.
Hostgator has the best support, uptime,
and easiest to use control panel.
Their only con is that they don't have
an 800# which is fine with me as I'm only
a hour away from highland beach, fl. Ive
called in three or four times to ask for
support, and every time I've gotten someone
on the phone instantly even at 4 in the
morning!
I
just recently also signed up on one of
their reseller plans and am very happy
with it. I've been telling all my friends
about them, and thought the least I could
do is share my experience with you guys.

experiences is the actual transfering
of the site on to a new server. With hostinplex.com
I found it as simple as one, two and three.
