Comments about business: Haven't be experiencing any downtime yet since I started hosting my website with SprintServe 5 months ago. SprintServe has also been very patient to answer to most of my queries and go to the extent of helping me to tweak some of my php scripts which I failed to get them installed.
 
I would say that the price I am paying is worthy as I get to host another 4 other domains within my allowable space/bandwidth quota with no additional cost. As what I understand so far, SprintServe only uses the best servers and bandwidth for their business in creating the best hosting experience for all their clients regardless of which plans they chose.
 
In addition, they also offer online support for their existing clients via emails and IM.

Excellent quick support via emails. The 1 point I dock is for the fact that their IM support isn't 24/7. They do reply the messages, but sometimes it takes a couple of hours, though it's usually instant at most times of the day.
 
Server / Network:

They moved all their servers to Dual Xeon SCSI machines last year and speeds are excellent. I have no problems at all with this aspect.
 
Downtime:
Rating 4/5
 
Most of the time, the downtime is due to maintainance issues such as kernel upgrades. There was only once or twice when it was for extraordinary events such as the DDOS on the server I was on a couple of weeks back. But it was resolved within an hour. Other than that, they are always up when I check.

Comments about business: First off all, great website. I have been looking for something like this. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I have already signed up with a great host. StartLogic has been very helpful to me. As a rookie, I did not understand anything from webhosting. So I called up a couple of companies to see which one would answer my questions best. Globat, iPowerWeb, Jumpline, and some others. All of the companies did help me out a lot but I just felt that StartLogic was just there for me right there. So I signed up, but than, since I was new I did not really know what the heck to do. So I called them up again, they referred and helped me to setup a program called wsftp. Their tutorial section is great and in less than one hour I was set. So far I did not had any problems and as I sad, beeing a rookie StartLogic really helped me out, so I really would be the wrong person to judge what they did wrong. But I feel like I'm in the right place. I thought I just wanted to let you know that.

Comments about business: I have been with startlogic for a while now and they are terrible. The online help is terrible and the Help section that they send you to is even worse. Everytime you need help you submit ticket and the usually get right back to you with unhelpful advice. They billed me 2 times for one account and my complaint ticket has been left open for a few days now. The control panel is worse than the service. My ftp login has more bugs than a smelly dog, and the list goes on. I could right all day about how bad they are. Don't use them. All I know is that my hosting account has more problems than a wacked out prozac user.

They don't offer a huge variety of plans, but the 3 base hosting plans they offer are more than enough to fulfill the needs of most hosting buyers - yet, I have never missed any features or similar. Their prices are fair, support is good (and quick), and so far I have not discovered their servers to be down at any time.
All in all, I have no complaints to 10-4Hosting. The only downside I've discovered is that they do not offer instant set up of your hosting plan. From I made the purchase till I received my passwords etc., it took a working day or so. They said this was to prevent spam or fraudulent clients.
I highly recommend using 10-4Hosting!

Whenever I have a problem I just go into the control panel and submit a support ticket. The best part is, they answer within 1 hour (that's what their homepage says). I've never gotten a response that has taken that long. My support comes on average of 15 minutes. I think that's remarkable. I've never experienced any downtime during my 2 months so I am very happy.
 
I just encourage anyone to signup and give them a try. I know they don't offer 800mbs with 50gigs of transfer, but most people like me will never use that much.

I've been real happy so far. Been with them a year. They seem to be very knowledgable and when I asked them to install the perl LWP modules for me, they did so without a problem which is a lot more that I can say for my previous host who didn't even know what Perl is!
 
I'm a techie myself and they have been totally open with me. Even to the point of showing me where to see the overall server stats. What has really impressed me the most is that they don't run servers maxed out which makes for really fast customer websites!
 
I now have 3 domains hosted with Webnet77. I'm very happy with this service.

I just found out that Website Source has several newly-configured hosting plans, including one hosted by their own server. (Other plans, I learned, are on leased servers; probably why the all-in-one plan is cheaper.)
 
This new plan lets you host four top-level domains and several sub-domains, all in one account -- with tons of extras -- for only $8.36 per month.
 
Yes, you can host a single domain for less. But this is an unusually great deal for someone running more than one site.

 Hi. Last night I signed up for 1 year of your all in one hosting plan. I got all the way through where you take my money, and that's the last I've heard from you. After 12 hours of waiting for that conformation e-mail that you say I will get in 15 minutes, I called your 7day a week phone number, only to be told that you have no record of my account and I need to send you an e-mail on Monday. Also, the tech help tried to tell me that I COULD NOT have registered a domain in my order process (because domain reg and hosting are 2 different orders), when clearly during my all-in-one order form, you ask which domain I'd like to register, and the charges involved in doing so. So far, what I see is
 
1) your advertising 24 hy, 7day a week help. Not so. You have someone to answer a phone, who can not indeed help.
 
2)You advertise 15minute actvation. Not so. Been 12 hours. Does this say something or your business organization, or your server speed?
 
3) Inept phone "help." Having your phone help tell the customer that they cant do something that your order for CLEARLY asks the customer to do, clearly says something about your company.
 
4) Charging people, then vanishing, is fraud.
